The U.S. rallied in the second for a 2-2 draw against Slovenia and nearly won after a controversial no-goal call late in the game.  After a sluggish first half that saw Slovenia jump out to a two goal lead, the United States came out with alot of life and after Landon Donovan scored in the 47th minute, continued to push forward against Slovenia.  The States had numerous chances to tie before Michael Bradley scored in the 81st minute.  The US then scored what would have been the go ahead goal but the ref called a very questionable offside call on Bradley.  The match continued back and forth with both sides taking chances looking for the win but neither country could net the third goal.

With the tie, Slovenia sits atop Group C with 4 points while the US has 2.  If England defeats Algeria later then they too will have 4 points.  That means a US win against Algeria Wednesday and either a win by England or Slovenia will allow the US to advance to the knockout stage.  If England and Slovenia tie and the US wins, the two teams advancing will be determined by goal differential.
