With 8 Claret Jugs between them, old-timer Tom Watson and #1 golfer in the world Tiger Woods are going in very different directions.  Watson, after a slow start, continued to defy age and reason by rolling in two impossibly long putts to share the 36-hole lead with little-known American Steve Marino. Watson played the final 10 holes in 4 under for an even-par 70 after an opening 65.  Marino of course being the biggest surprise after playing in Britain for the first time in his career, having some troubles just being able to stay in Scotland because he forgot his passport at home in Florida.

Tiger Woods on the other hand, is in danger of missing the cut for only the second time in a Major in his brilliant career, after letting his frustrations take over his usual flawless game.
