Urban Meyer gets fined for criticizing SEC officials. Wait, he's criticizing them? But they always give Florida the calls.

We all know SEC officials suck, but if there's one coach who shouldn't be complaining about officials, it's Urban Meyer. Florida has been the recipient of a number of overly-favorable calls this year (that BS call against Arkansas being a prime example).

But hey, Urban Meyer is an asshole, so naturally he's mad too. Apparently Florida isn't getting ENOUGH calls for his taste.

Meyer has been fined $30,000 by the Southeastern Conference for public comments he made regarding a call he believes officials missed (a late hit on Tebow) during last week's game against Georgia.

Keep in mind Urban that Brandon Spikes tried to gouge a Georgia player's eyes out during this game, which is a little worse. And then you suspended Spikes for A HALF against Vanderbilt, before Spikes went over your head and decided not to play in the game at all. Always fun when a dirty player actually has more integrity than his own coach.

In other words Urban, you're a hypocritical jackass who needs to STFU. If anyone deserves to get screwed by an awful call, it's you.

0	i dont like Florida either and i'm sick about hearing the late hit on the quarterback. it's one thing if it is way after the play, but the flags thrown 1 second after the qb throws the ball is bs. it's football. not ballet. qb's are football players and can get hit. its not fair to pentalize a team for playing until the whistle (especially if the tackler doesnt have time to stop)

0	Personally, I feel that Meyers Florida team has had many calls go their way this year. The penalty given by the coach for eye gouching was not tough enough and neither was the players....also the fine for complaining, when did those start coming about. He is only complaining because of the concussion a few weeks back, had that not happened he would not be saying a word!!!! Roll Tide!!!

I find it funny how every one hates the guy who is winning and thinks that guy is an asshole. Do you know Meyer personally have you ever sat down face to face with the man and had a discussion with him. No you haven't you nothing about the man except what you read and here. Jealous much I think so calling a man an asshole without ever meeting the person or having a conversation with the man makes you look like the asshole.

2	Nothing Urban Meyer does surprises me anymore. Since he risked Tim Tebow's life this year, I expect irrational behavior from him. When a coach doesn't take brain injury seriously, what else can you say about him.

Everyone wants to make such a big deal about the calls going the Gators way saying it's rigged, the refs were paid need to get a life it happens every game one team get call and the other doesn't it does not mean the game is fixed. What it is is people don't like a winner unless it is their team plane and simple. Every great team that has won a championship at some point during the season has had some questionable calls go their way. That is just the way the ball bounces sometimes get the hell over it.

Oh well, maybe he will be fined even more before the Tide gets a hold of them in the SEC Championship game this year and stomps them into the ground. Yeah, I am a Tider and even though Urban is an ass, he is a pretty good coach, he teaches dirty tactics though which I do not like but he wins...Well his winning will have to come to an end sometimes, right? I want that team to be in top shape when we meet them in the SEC Championship game too.

laughable. 30 large for saying refs stink. get decent refs and the critiques will stop. seems like it was just a ploy by the SEC to get back at him for the very lax 1/2 game suspension of a player. the SEC could have upped it to several games if they had wanted. and they probably should have. the 30,000 should have been levied for coach being a wuss on the suspension issue, not for stating the obvious.
