After Venus made quick work of Dinara Safina in straight sets, she will now face Serena in the championship at Wimbledon. This is great for the sport as well as for the United States.

2cute, I luv that... Thats how I feel 2 tho... I'm kind of partial to Serena bcuz she's like that little sis that wants to beat her sister so bad, but Serena's that big sis that keeps lil sis in her place.  This will be a great match.

 I will be honest and say I don't watch tennis that much either only b/c it is often played while I'm at work...but I am still pumped to see the US represented in the finals. I would love it if Roddick could do the same on the men's side.

ITS LIKE BEING IN A CANDY STORE AND HAVING TO CHOOSE BETWEEN CHOCOLATE CREAM PIE AND DOUBLE FUDGE BROWNIES!!  BUT SERIOUSLY FOLKS THIS WILL BE A GREAT MATCH WITH THE LEGS WINNING OVER THE BOOTY BECAUSE SHE SEEMS TO OWN WIMBLEDON, AND PLAYS MUCH MORE CALM AND TOGETHER THAN THE BOOTY DOES!!

ya!!!!!! i mean when are we gonna see some real tennis happening in the ladies department......this is just raw power speaking guys... that girl dementieva really played well guys... i think, minus the power, and she would have been in the finals and not miss slam bang thank u mam - serena

The person with the power normally wins....Look at Billie Jean King, Martina Navratolova(sp?), Lindsey Davenport to name a few, what the heck are you talking about? Very few women tennis players don't win on power....

While Steffi Graf, Martina Navratilova, Chris Evert and Margaret Smith Court and Billie Jean King had very good serves the were not exactly bombers, while: Monica Seles, Martina Hingis, Helen Jacobs, Maureen Connolly, Evonne Goolagong, Tracy Austin, Aranxta Sánchez Vicario and Justine Henin were top players who won with speed and shot placement but had serves that were actually below average for the top tier of their sport. 

Players in any sport win with the style that best suits their talents, in baseball was Koufax inferior to Warren Spahn because he was a power pitcher, was Earl Campbell not a 'real running back' because he didn't run like Barry Sanders?  The idea is to find a style that maximizes your talent rather than fits into some narrow orthodoxy.
