Wade Phillips will be retained for one more season with the Cowboys

Jerry Jones is reportedly retaining Wade Phillips for at least one more season as the head coach and defensive coordinator.

There were rumors that Phillips would be dismissed after the Cowboys' 34-3 beating at the hands of the Vikings. It looks like he's safe for at least one more season, but that could be largely due to the potential lockout in 2011. If the Cowboys hire another big-money coach, it could cost them dearly. Much like John Fox, the lockout might have saved Phillips' job. At least for one season.
