Washington Redskins give up the lead, lose 27-24

I have to admit, it has been more and more difficult every week to be a devoted Redskins fan.  Today, watching as they gained the lead in the second half, I found myself almost holding my breath and pleading, "please, please, please don't blow it!!"

Well, to be honest, I don't believe they "blew" it.  I think the Redskins were playing today like they haven't played in a long time.  They had the lead in the game against the Philadelphia Eagles.  They scored on the first drive, a rarity this year.  And they had to put up with the disdain from the Eagles and their fans.  The arrogance the Eagle showed for the Redskins was obvious, even to those of us only watching on TV.  It was right that the Redskins had a 24-16 lead at the fourth quarter.  They deserved to have that lead.  What they didn't deserve, was to lose the game 27-24.  You could argue they didn't win and you would be right, but if they had, they would have earned a win.

One thing the link mentioned is that the Redskins are gaining respect, and that much I can agree with.  They are not giving up and dying.  Even Coach Zorn is acting like a coach and trying to figure out what the best move is for each and every one of his players.  Will they suddenly rebound and start winning games?  Only time will tell, but they are moving in the right direction.
