Washington Redskins open the season with 6 straight winless teams
The Redskins start the year with 6 straight games against winless teams. And they'll still be 3-3, at best.

I'm not sure if it's possible for a team to start the year with an easier schedule than the one that the Redskins have had so far. Sure, they started the season against the Giants, who are one of the top 3-4 teams in the NFL, but technically, every one of their games have been against a winless team.

Week 1: They lost to the 0-0 Giants
Week 2: They beat the 0-1 Rams, who are now 0-5
Week 3: They lost to the 0-2 Lions, who are now 1-4, and have won only 1 of their last 22 games.
Week 4: They beat the 0-3 Buccaneers, who are now 0-5.
Week 5: They lost to the previously 0-4 Panthers.
Week 6: They will play the 0-5 Chiefs, who have lost 28 of their last 30 games.

Does it get much easier for the Redskins? And they're still only 2-3. Ouch.

Washington, DC (AP) - A seven-year old boy was at the center of a Washington, DC. courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulation requiring that family unity be maintained to the highest degree possible. The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried and said that they also beat him. After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him. After two recesses to check legal references and confer with the child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Washington Redskins, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.

I really thought the Redskins would be better this year.

Plus they only squeeked by the lowly Rams like 9-7. This is not a good team.

Hope the Chiefs are mad enough to get their first win next week!

I think the Pats have had a similar scheduling quirk (Peter King talked about it last week), in that they played teams who owned records (from Weeks 1 to 5) of 0-0 (Bills), 1-0 (Jets), 2-0 (Atlanta), 3-0 (Baltimore), and 4-0 (Denver). They'll take on the 0-5 Titans next week, and then possibly the 0-6 Bucs in Week 7 (before their bye).  Kooky

Yes indeed. It's pretty crazy how these things have worked out, especially when the schedules are based on a pretty strict system.

Of course you've gotta be feeling better about the Pats chances than any Skins fans should, even with the much easier schedule

That's only an easy schedule if you have a good team, which the Redskins clearly do not have.

They need a new QB...

EVERYONE SAYS THE SKINS ARE GOING TO BE GOOD ONE SEASON OR ANOTHER THEY KINDA MADE A RUN LAST YEAR AND I MEAN KINDA...THE SKINS DONT PUT FEAR IN ANYONES EYES....THEY HAVE A WEAK WEAK WEAK SCHEDUALE AND YET THEY STILL ONLY WIN 2 COME ON NOW!!

Even if the Redskins get back to being a Mediocre team. In that division that gets you last place anyway.

We need a whole new system stop getting these old players get some fresh players in draft and let them play. need a new defense who will let the guys play and stop playing just to hold on to a lead go after the QB until the game ends. An offensive Coord. that will go down field.

I hear they have been scrimmaging unranked college teams to get ready for those tough games on Sundays.

Do not hate. we have a very caring President and do as good coaching as some of the coaches in the NFL now.

Redskins who? Are they related to the Nationals?

I feel both of yall. I think it's the coach AND Campbell. The coach needs to work harder on Campbell so he can be more confident on the field and Campbell needs to learn how to read the field a lot better

The coach should be fired for not taking Cambell out after the 3rd game they need a QB that can find the receiver a lot faster they have changed everyone else on and off the field. Cambell has always been just OK. TAKE THE CHIEFS!!!

I keep saying the same thing, WTH are they thinking...they need to put Colt in there and watch as he turns the Skins to a WINNING team!

Colt Brennan is on the IR, and out for the season.

It could be easier, take out the Giants game, the only reason it's on the list is because of technicality. 0-0 is "winless", but they're 5-0 now.

I have been saying that since he got here. He is very over rated, he takes to long to find a receiver.

Collins had no practice at all with the team and he still got them into fieldgoal range twice and they got six points. Cambell has played fife and a half games and practiced with the team all week every week. And you want to compare the two PLEASE.

it's bad chemistry, coaching, and campbell. with him not having deep accuracy, it eliminates deep threats like moss, which would open the run, which would make managing the clock etc,etc... man! i hate to say but we're a hot mess right now! this weak, conservative offense is killing us.

Yes it is, combined with the coaching staff, the players who are not playing up to their capacity (and not being made to play by the coaches), the GM, and the top idiot, Snyder, who has more money than brains.  The team is a toy to him, he justs keeps on "buying" players that he likes, not ones that can play.  He's ruined the best team we used to have.  I'm a die-hard older Redskin fan, from the Sammy Baugh, Sonny Jurgensen, Billy Kilmer, Joe Theisman (even if I don't like him personally, he was a good QB), John Riggins (now there's a running back!), etc.  Those are the days when players played for the game, not so much for the money, like now.  We have so many debutantes on the team, it isn't funny.  I watch them every week, avoiding collisions and tackles, because they might get hurt.........what a crock!  They can't tackle.  A runner uses his what? to run.  Oh, yeah......legs!  That's where you grab them...just below the hips.  Gee, maybe I could coach.  The first girl coach.....wouldn't that shake things up!

I think the skins will win. If only because Zorn is not calling the plays. Where is the offense...still in training camp I am pissed!

Its not going to matter who is calling the plays we have a QB that takes to long to find a receiver and is no good at the long pass. If they had a better quarterback it would open up the running game.

its time for a rebuild in DC..... i say start over and hope the defense can continue its strong play for 2-3 more seasons while the offense puts pieces together. also, zorn needs to go as well as cerrato. snyder needs to let some power go and hire a coach who is aggressive not in the play calling sense but in the im gonna get in your ass sense when u mess up.

fuck it, just hold open tryouts to the washington metropolitan area.
