Mandatory Credit: Ron Chenoy-US PRESSWIREFor the 9th straight Major tournament, we have a brand new winner. Webb Simpson won the US Open with a total score of 1 over par, making him the 9th straight first-time Major winner.

It also marks the 15th Major in a row in which a different player won.

This is what you get when Tiger Woods isn't dominating like he was before his sabbatical.

Simpson bested the field in what was one of the most challenging tournaments in recent history, featuring zero players finishing under par.

In his previous two tournaments, Simpson didn't even make the cut, falling out of the field in both the Players Championship and the Memorial Tournament.

That didn't faze him on Sunday, as he shot a 68 for the 2nd day in a row to surge past guys like Ernie Els and Jim Furyk to win the tournament.

In case you're wondering, Woods finished all the way back at +7 for the tournament, tied for 21st.

Congrats to Webb Simpson for an outstanding win.

As he was being interviewed by Bob Costas after the match, Simpson was interrupted by a hilarious and likely intoxicated fan, who video bombed him and did some bird calls. This may have been the highlight of the weekend.
