Wes Welker made a cut that his knee couldn't handle against the Texans, and tore his ACL and MCL, ending his season and probably ending the Patriots' chances to make some noise in the playoffs. Welker was recently elected to the Pro Bowl this year, and led the NFL in receptions, yards per game, and was second to only Ray Rice in yards after catch. He's also second to Brandon Marshall in total reception yards with 1,336, and second to Reggie Wayne in catches for a first down with 70.
Welker's will probably need surgery, and his knee will likely require the entire offseason to recover. This is a huge blow to the Patriots.
