What's wrong the Patriots? According to the Boston Globe, they aren't very good any more.

Tony Masseroti breaks down the New England Patriots fall from greatness. Die hard Pats fans may not want to hear it but this team not only isn't going to win the Super Bowl, they could miss the playoffs for the second year in a row.

Mazz points to the Pats' staggering, heart-breaking loss to the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLII as the game that changed everything. The Pats are 18-12 starting from that game till now. They don't win big games on the road any more (see New Orleans, Miami and Indianapolis). They don't come back in the 4th quarter any more. In fact, other teams are doing to the Patriots what they used to do them. That is break their spirits.

Are we witnessing the end of an era? Can the Pats bounce back? After all, they were 7-5 in 2001, when they won first Super Bowl. Is there any reason to be optimistic?
