Midwestsportsfans.com has a poll running on their page wanting to know who you think should be the 2010-2011 College Basketball Coach of the Year.  The site lists 5 worthy candidates... Matt Painter of Purdue, Rick Pitino of Louisville, Steve Lavin of St. John's, Dave Rose of BYU and Steve Fisher of San Diego State.

My vote is for Lavin at St. John's.  Despite having 9 seniors, nobody thought the Red Storm would be near the top of the loaded Big East with one game left in the season.  My runner up goes to another Big East coach, Mike Brey of Notre Dame.  The Irish have also been a huge surprise this season, far eclipsing the experts picks of a middle of the pack finish in the Big East.

Who do you think should be the coach of the year in college basketball?
