The Yankees want to trade for Pirates relief pitcher John Grabow. But with the way the Yankees have been pillaging the Pirates through trades recently, it almost seems like they're the Yankees' new minor league affiliate.
I wouldn't exactly call the Yankees trades pillaging of the Pirates right now. I hate the management, but for the moment, the Nady trade is looking pretty good for the Bucs because Nady has been hurt (surprise surprise), Damaso Marte is garbage, and Ross Ohlendorf is pitching pretty damn good as of late, coming off a shutout of the Cubbies last week. I'm not sure what to think of trading Grabow, he's been hit or miss this year, sometimes gets a 1-2-3 inning, other times struggles to get 1 out.
The real reason why is because this is the only major league sport in the US (and one team in Canada) that DOES NOT HAVE A SALARY CAP!!! If there was one, you wouldn't have all the same-old usual teams making it to the playoffs. You'd actually have some competition all around. You wouldn't have A-Rod, Sabathia, Burnett, Tex, Jeter, Posada, and Matsui all on one team. You wouldn't have Ortiz, Pedroia, Bay, Beckett, Papelbon, Dice-K, J.D. Drew, and Youk all on one team. So-on and so-on. I'm am finally sick and tired of the MLB. I am now banning myself from watching any MLB telecast, purchasing any MLB licensed products, or going to any MLB game.

Just one thing what does that have to do with this.
That the game has become soo boring. What's the point in watching anymore when you can just look at a team's payroll and roster and say "oh, they're gonna make it to the playoffs". That's thre reason why. Not only that, but you New Yorkers are soo egotisical and try and vote every-single player on your team to the All-Star Game, even if they've barely played a week.

Why are you calling out the Red Sox, but not calling out the Mets, Cubs, White Sox and Phillies, who all have payrolls higher than the Red Sox? Just curious.

Because...how many times do you see the Yankees or Red Sox on ESPN? Every third game they televise!
