Maybe the Grizzlies aren't as stupid as we thought... they just turned Darko Milicic into Zach Randolph

Only a few days after trading Darko Milicic to the Knicks for Quentin Richardson, the Memphis Grizzlies shipped off again, receiving Zach Randolph from the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Clippers had no choice but to trade one of their big men, since they won the Draft lottery, and they took Oklahoma forward Blake Griffin. There was no room on the court for Griffin, Randolph, Marcus Camby and Chris Kaman.

The Clippers might see a significant drop in production in the transition from Randolph to Richardson, but the Grizzlies are the team that really made out well in this one. Milicic was a certifiable bust, and they basically traded him for Zach Randolph, a guy who is capable of giving you 20 points and 10 rebounds per game.

4	What's the over/under on how long before O.J. Mayo and Z-Bo get into a fistfight over the ball? My wager? 2 days into training camp.

0	damn good move by Memphis - he will only help a young team with Gay and Gasol.

1	Randolph is also capable of giving a team major headaches on and off the court. A risky move for Memphis, but with Gasol, Gay, Miles, Haddadi, Thabeet, and possibly Warrick (FA) isn't their front court just as crowded as the Clippers was? I can see Randolph possibly being traded again, especially with the contract he still has.

0	Do not be suprised if they make another move or two before the dust settles. I don't think they'll challenge for the Western Conference next season. But this is gonna be big year for Memphis to define the direction they take as a franchise.

1	conley, mayo, gay, randolph, and gasol should be the starters. nice trade. it a start. barring injuries they can contend for the eight spot in the west.
