Boy, this game sure looked a lot better at the beginning of the year, didn't it? Clemson, which started the season as the favorite in the ACC and ranked 9th in the land, now isn't even ranked. Meanwhile, Wake Forest is hovering at a precarious #21. When you combine that with the fact that Wake Forest's last loss was to Navy and that Clemson's last loss was to Maryland, it gets even worse.
But even though tonight features two teams from arguably the worst power conference in America, it's still football. And football rules. I know you won't dare argue against that.
Anyway, keep your eyes on Riley Skinner, the Wake QB who led the Football Bowl Subdivision in completion percentage at 72.4 last season and on Clemson's running back tandem of C.J. Spiller and James Davis.
Incredibly, Spiller and Davis are both averaging over 6 yards-per-carry, and yet this team is 3-2. Either way, it should be an entertaining game.
Right now, 62% of FanIQ is going with Wake Forest. The experts are going the other way.
And hey, since the game features two ACC teams, at least they can't both lose.
