Seth Curry Indicates He Wants to Play in the ACC and in North Carolina
Lil' Curry Might Want to Shoot Up Tobacco Road
Seth Curry, younger brother of Davidson superstar Stephen Curry, announced yesterday that he would transfer from Liberty after this year. That news should have been zero surprise: Curry was the Big South player of the year and led all nationwide freshmen in scoring with a 20.2 average.

And now word on the street 850 airwaves, via Wolfpack Hoops, is that Curry's transfer will keep him in North Carolina and only at an ACC school. That would limit his choices to those universities on Tobacco Road: Duke, North Carolina, Wake Forest and North Carolina State.

This makes sense for a lot of reasons, namely proximity. Dell and his wife attended nearly all of Stephen's games when he played at Davidson; it wasn't a long drive for them considering they reside in Charlotte, and most of his Southern Conference opponents are no further than Charleston or Chattanooga.

But more so than that is probably a notion of "exposure." Did Stephen Curry become famous because of the NCAA Tournament? You bet. But was he nationally renowned before he got big-time television exposure? Absolutely not. That's why Davidson was a Cinderella and Curry's run in the 2008 NCAA Tournament was so memorable.

As a result of the lack of exposure, Stephen isn't a lock for a lottery pick. He's an unbelievable scorer, a brilliant basketball mind and great passer. But there are questions because of the level of talent he played against for most of his career. You have to immediately believe that Dell and Stephen are doling out advice to Seth relating to just that issue -- if he plays in a high profile conference like the ACC for three years and dominates, he's a lottery pick, and there's no question about it.

Neither brother, of course, had much of an opportunity to hit up those schools before their commitment to Davidson and Liberty, respectively. But now one of them does; there's no chance that all four of those schools turn Seth away now, particularly with NC State looking to struggle next year, and Wake Forest looking to be decimated if Aminu and Teague leave school early.

I would guess NC State or Wake FOrest as well.  North Carolina already has a banner recruiting class next year and Duke has the same...  NC State will need some players, especially after Brandon Costner declared for the NBA Draft.  Wake FOrest has three potential guys that may go early as well in: Al Faraq Aminu, Jeff Teague and James Johnson.  SO yea NC State or Wake, i would put money on it

I would like to see him go to UNC, but they have so many great players coming in that he might not get as much attention as he would like. He should go to Wake or NC State and be a huge star there.

Dude as a fellow UNC fan i would love to see that too, but i just know that will never happen.  Too much talent like u said.  He would def get his shine on at NC State or Wake.

Welcome aboard Mr. Curry. You can take Greg Paulus' spot on the roster and make the crazies go wild!

This will be a great opportunity for Seth to shine for the next 3 years. I can't wait to watch him play vs great competition.

As much as people hope that this will further push Seth back into the media spotlight brought on by a few games in last year's tournament by his brother, it won't.  Seth and Stephen are at most, average college basektball players who are playing at the lowest levels of competition.  Making 9 or 10 baskets a game in the Southern Conference doesn't translate into an elite ACC player.  Stephen has at least proven he CAN be effective against decent competition, but his performance this year (albeit with an injury) didn't show the same promise.

Right, that would be sick though to add Seth to (In my opinion) the most talented team stil left in the elite 8.
