Is anyone rooting for the Jazz outside of Utah? If you're a fan of basketball and want the NBA to prosper you should be rooting for Golden State. That's just one of the many details you should factor into your decision. You may recall the other, fairly attractive, reason to root for the Warriors.
I was looking forward seeing how McGrady and Yao would match up with this Golden State strategy that seems to be best described as Total Chaos. This matchup with the Utah Jazz might lack in the aesthetics, but still carries it's fair share of intrigue.
Steve Kerr argued last week that Utah would present a more difficult opposition to GS than Houston. I agreed. For starters, Utah has a point guard than can handle the constant attacking on both ends in Deron Williams. Second, I like Boozer against anyone on Golden State. Count him for 25 and 15 tonight. Lastly, I think this aggravating style of Jerry Sloan won't only irritate us fans. It's going to test the patience of the younger Warriors. Does this mean I think Utah will end Cinderella's run? No.
Here's what the experts think ...
