Bob Huggins has yet to even coach a game at Kansas State University, but he's already producing. Yesterday was the first day basketball recruits could officially commit for the 2007 season, and Huggins class has unanimously been tabbed #1.
"Rivals.com ranks Kansas State's early signing class as the best in the nation. Power forward Michael Beasley and small forward Bill Walker, Rivals.com's No. 1 and No. 6 national recruits, headline the five-player class."
If you pay attention to recruiting, you know that Michael Beasley and Bill Walker have played for about 9 high schools combined. And now they're headed to play for Bob Huggins, the poster coach for slimy programs. How does that phrase go, "If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, then it's probably a duck."
I'm skeptical. Manhattan, Kansas is a nice town, but it's not exactly the capitol of the college basketball universe. Just sayin'.
