"I think that within ten years that we will have strategies that will re-grow the bones, and promote the growth of functional tissue around those bones. And that is a major step towards eventually doing the entire limb."

I know this is great for accident victims, and that the military is very "interested" but I was thinking a little farther down the line with this.  Sports.  More specifically, sports injuries.  How cool would it be to not have anymore reconstructive surgeries or career ending injuries.  Got a torn ACL?  Just lop the injured limb off and grow a new one.  Need Tommy John surgery?  Not anymore.  I know I'm getting a little ahead of myself here but wouldn't it be cool?  Not that I would want to go first or anything.  Anyway, I just thought it was kind of a cool story and maybe someday it might pertain to the sporting world.  I wonder if Francisco Liriano would be interested.
