No, not toilet paper. Terrelle Pryor led the Ohio State Buckeyes down the field in the final minutes of the fourth quarter tonight to edge the #18 Wisconsin Badgers at Camp Randall Stadium 20-17. Ohio State was down 17-13 with less than six minutes to play in the game when the Buckeyes went on a 12 play, 80 yard drive culminating with an 11 yard scamper from Pryor for the touchdown giving them a three point cushion with only a minute left. That was enough as the Buckeye defense caused a turnover on Wisconsin's ensuing drive to ice the game.Pryor completed 13 out of 19 passes for 144 yards and rushed for 20 more and a touchdown. Alongside Pryor was Chris "Beanie" Wells who rushed for 168 yards including a 33 yard run in the first quarter resulting in the games first touchdown.
However this back and forth battle to stay in the Big Ten race was Wisconsin's for quite a while. After an Allen Evridge 9 yard touchdown pass to Mickey Turner to tie the game in the second quarter, Wisconsin took the lead with a field goal, going into halftime up 10-7. Midway through the third quarter Ohio State drove down the field to tie the game 10-10 with a field goal of their own. After another OSU field goal to make it 13-10, Wisconsin went on what was thought to be the drive of the game with about 6 minutes left to go ending with a 2 yard PJ Hill rush for a touchdown. That's when Pryor took over.Pryor connected three passes out of four during the 12 play drive for 59 yards. He then stunned the Badger faithful as he crossed the goal line scoring what proved to be the game winning touchdown. The Buckeyes with the win move to 5-1 on the season while the Badgers suffer their second straight loss in as many weeks falling to 3-2.
The Badgers, who in the past two weeks have gone from #9 in the polls to near the bottom of the Top 25 (if not out), will have their hands full next week as they take on #6 Penn State. They will look to avoid a third consecutive loss and, if they can knock of Joe Paterno's squad, move back up in the Big Ten standings. Ohio State now looks to face Purdue next week in another Big Ten matchup. With the win today the Buckeyes still have hopes of getting a BCS bid and possibly a third straight National Championship appearance as the Big Ten champs, but they still have a long, rough road to travel to get there. If they can keep winning, and knock off Penn State in what is turning out to be the Big Ten match of the year, this one-loss team could possibly move right back up in the rankings to one of the top spots.
