You knew I wasn't going to go all morning without posting this video (and pointing out again I picked this) of Tom Brady reacting to Plaxico Burress' 23-17 prediction.
Turns out Plax was being generous by giving New England that many points.
I really thought they might get a last second FG to tie the game and then in OT the G-men would score to win 23-17. That would have been a crazy prediction come true. Just wishful thinking on my part. But the final score was still great!!
In Brady's defense, I think his point was more along the lines of why wouldn't an offensive guy predict a shootout. Still, he did manage to come off as an asshole and doesn't look to smart after the game.
Off topic - kinda - but did Ellis Hobbs really say "The season means nothing now"? I mean if he was saying that because of anything other than the fact that they didn't win the SB, then fine but he's not...granted every team's goal is to win the Super Bowl but they still had a phenomenal season and accomplished many things that won't be duplicated any time soon. I would hardly say that this season means nothing for the Pats now, regardless of the fact that they lost the big game.
