2008 NFL Playoffs - Patriots vs. Jaguars
This is the biggest game of the year so far for the New England Patriots. Yes, it is good to be 16-0 but that really means nothing if you don't win it all. The Patriots goal should be to win three more games and they are going to be the three toughest games of the year. I full expect Bill Belichick to put together a winning game plan and Tom Brady to play a great game but there are still many questions. Can the Combo of Taylor and Jones-Drew wear down the aging Patriots Linebacking Corp??? Can the Patriots special teams contain Jones-Drew??? Who will win the turnover battle??? Will the Patriots be able to run the ball??? If the Patriots can do all of these things, they will come out with a Big W, but if they can only do a couple of these things, the game will come down to the wire and last week proved the Jags can win close games.

San Francisco 49ers great Jerry Rice, now an analyst for Sirius NFL Radio, went on record before the playoffs started that he thought the Jaguars were the toughest matchup for the Patriots. "If anyone matches up pretty good, I would say it's going to be the Jacksonville Jaguars with Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew. No one else should give New England a problem," said Rice. "Indianapolis, if they had Marvin Harrison at his best, that's a whole different team. They're winning football games, but they're not the Colts of old.

I agree with Jerry the Jags are a very tough team and they will pound you for the whole game. Will the Pats hold up? I have to think the Patriots will continue on this great ride because they are much more talented then the Jags but heart and hard work beats talent any day, so we will see. My predicting for this game is a 28-14 victory for the Patriots.

Predicted Stats for Leading Players from each team:
Patriots
Brady - 28/36, 321 yards, 3 TD's
Maroney - 21 carries, 76 Yards, 1 TD
Moss - 4 receptions, 87 yards, 1 TD
Welker - 8 receptions, 112 yards

Jaguars

Garrard - 17/29, 178 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
Taylor - 12 carries, 67 yards
Jones-Drew - 17 carries, 71 yards, 1 TD
Wilford - 3 receptions, 54 yards
