Roger Federer has won five straight Wimbledon titles, a run they will assuredly come to an end in the next several years, and judging by this year's draw, his time could up now. To say Federer is playing below par is to still say he's the best in the game. His 10 consecutive Grand Slam finals appearances was snapped in Australia when he lost to Novak Djokovic in the semifinals, and his only winning four games against Rafael Nadal at the French Open would certainly signal a subtle decline.
So perhaps this is the year to snap his dominance at the All England Club. His draw doesn't bode well. Joining Federer are five other grand slam winners: Djokovic (Australian), Lleyton Hewitt (Wimbledon, US Open), Thomas Johansson (Australian), Marat Safin (US Open, Australian) and Juan Carlos Ferrero (French).
Of course, Federer has won 59 straight matches on grass and has been more dominant than any other on that surface in the sport's history. But at least this year, there's a chance he may lose. Albeit small.
Who's your pick?
