The 84th MLB All-Star Game will take place on Tuesday night, and though we've known the bulk of the players participating for over a week, we've been presented with some more information on Monday - the batting orders for both the National League and American League teams have been announced:

American League

1. LF Mike Trout (LAA)
2. 2B Robinson Cano (NYY)
3. 3B Miguel Cabrera (DET)
4. 1B Chris Davis (BAL)
5. RF Jose Bautista (TOR)
6. DH David Ortiz (BOS)
7. CF Adam Jones (BAL)
8. C Joe Mauer (MIN)
9. SS J.J. Hardy (BAL)

Max Scherzer (DET) gets the nod as the starting pitcher.

The AL lineup features an exceptional wealth of power at the top. The top six batters have combined for a total of 142 home runs so far this season - the top six batters in the NL lineup have combined for 91.

The Baltimore Orioles are the only AL team with multiple batters in the starting lineup, and they have three in Davis, Jones, and Hardy.

National League

1.2B Brandon Phillips (CIN)
2. RF Carlos Beltran (STL)
3. 1B Joey Votto (CIN)
4. 3B David Wright (NYM)
5. LF Carlos Gonzalez (COL)
6. C Yadier Molina (STL)
7. SS Troy Tulowitzki (COL)
8. DH Michael Cuddyer (COL)
9. CF Bryce Hardper (WAS)

Matt Harvey (NYM) gets the nod as the starting pitcher.

Unlike the AL, this lineup has several teams with multiple players participating (Reds, Cardinals, and Rockies). The Rockies lead the way with three players (Gonzalez, Tulowitzki, and Cuddyer).

At first glance, it appears that the NL are at a disadvantage on paper, thanks in large part to the outrageous seasons that Chris Davis and Miguel Cabrera are having in the AL. However, Bodog.eu currently has the NL as 1.5 run favorites. Of course, when it comes down to one single game, you never really know who's going to come out on top.
