I know LeBron James and the Miami Heat are probably still celebrating in the club with Drake, but the early 2014 NBA Championship odds are out, so we might as well take a look. The Heat are on a quest for a ‘three-peat’, but would have to make four-straight NBA Finals appearances to do so, a feat that has only been accomplished by the Bill Russell led Boston Celtics in the 1960’s.

Michael Jordan retired after both his ‘three-peats’, and the Los Angeles Lakers were bumped in the second round by the San Antonio Spurs the year after their ‘three-peat’ in the early 00’s. The only other team that had a chance to make four-straight Finals appearances was the Kobe led Lakers from 2008 to 2011, but the team was swept out of the playoffs by the eventual champion Dallas Mavericks during their fourth try.

Here is a quick look at the early odds for next year’s title winner:

Miami Heat: +250
OKC Thunder: +650
San Antonio Spurs: +1000
Chicago Bulls: +1000
Los Angeles Clippers: +1500
Indiana Pacers: +1500
Houston Rockets: +2000
Memphis Grizzlies: +2500
New York Knicks: +2500
Los Angeles Lakers: +3000
