#3 Penn State Nittany Lions Versus #9 Ohio State Buckeyes Live Thread [NCAA Football]
The Nittany Lions Face Their Toughest Test Of The Season In Columbus. Can They Escape With A Win?

Joe Paterno's Penn State Nittany Lions look to remain undefeated with a win over Jim "Sweater Vest" Tressel's Ohio State Buckeyes. PSU is 8-0 on the season, and #3 in the BCS rankings. Ohio State is their lone remaining game against a ranked opponent, unless Michigan State moves up before their matchup at the end of the season.

For the Buckeyes, this game (and every game from here on out) is like an elimination game. In order to have a chance at the National Championship game, they NEED to win out. A loss in this game (or any other) would take away any remaining hopes that they might have.

62% think the Nittany Lions will pick up the win on the road. I'm predicting the opposite, as I think that Terrelle Pryor, Beanie Wells and the rest of the Buckeyes will protect their house and come away with a 27-23 victory.

Discuss the game here, or on the game page. Enjoy the game!

I think that this game could end up a lot like the Texas-Oklahoma State game. At the end, we'll be saying "Man, if Penn State were at home, maybe they would have squeaked out a win".

I am for the Fighting JoePas. I like guys who can't retire, even though they should have done it 20 years ago.

Penn State will take this 31-20.  If this was in Happy Valley I'd predict a blowout, but home field advantage will even it up some for Ohio State.

If Pryor had stepped up in the pocket instead of rolling out, he would have bought himself another second or two. Next year's version of Terrelle Pryor picks up the first down there.

Next year's version of Terrelle Pryor wins the Heisman.  He's going to be a special player.

We have been spared another potential embarrassing loss by OSU in the national title game.  Thank you, PSU.  Pryor will get better and more dangerous.  He is a hell of a talent.

Yeah... now we might just have to watch an embarrassing loss by Penn State instead.

I am with you on that.  The Big 10 may be setting it's self up again.

I agree. I don't think PSU is even one of the 5 best teams in the country. They might not even be top 10. Their strength of schedule would be more accurately referred to as weakness of schedule.

However, I don't see any losses left on their schedule, and I really doubt Bama's ability to win out, with the teams they have left. Unfortunately, the Nittany Lions will likely be given the opportunity to make fools of themselves and Joe Pa.
