NFL, San Francisco 49ers, Aldon Smith
49ers Aldon Smith was stabbed early Saturday morning at a house party, and has sustained minor injuries according to the team.There were gunshots heard at the party, which was in San Jose, Cali., and the police arrived to find two victims of gunshot wounds, and Smith, who had been stabbed.
The 49ers released a statement about the incident, and sounded optimistic for Smith:
"We are aware that Aldon Smith incurred minor injuries during an incident last night. We are in contact with Aldon and thankful that his injuries were not more serious and that he is recovering comfortably. The 49ers are also in communication with local authorities as they gather information regarding the incident, and will reserve further comment at this time."
This isn't the first incident for Smith, who was arrested in Miami and charged with DUI back in January.
Smith is an incredibly talented player, and was one of the standouts on the 49ers last year as an excellent pass rusher. He might want to give some thought to his off-field activities before he costs himself or his team dearly.
