The NFL Conference Championship weekend is finally here. Four teams—two games—and a trip to the Super Bowl on the line. But the most exciting part of the weekend—the chance to bet NFL football some more—is what we really care about. The only downer in all of this football excitement is that there are only three games left in the season. So before we have to start making up fake online girlfriends to cope with the next seven months without football, let’s enjoy ourselves by wagering on a few prop bets from the 49ers versus Falcons NFC Championship game.

The Atlanta Falcons are the biggest home underdog in Conference Championship history.

Will either team score in the first six minutes of the game
Yes: -135
No: +115

Scoring within the first six minutes of a game is an awfully difficult task—especially considering that the first few possessions of a game are used to warm up, and get a general feel for what the other team is doing. Both the 49ers and Falcons are teams that go on the attack early, and either are liable to make a big turnover and set up their opponent with great field position. Prediction: Take the ‘Yes’. Expect both teams to go for the jugular early.

Team to score first
49ers: -120
Falcons: even

The 49ers let the Packers score first last weekend during their Divisional Round matchup on a Kaepernick pick-six. I’m not saying that is going to happen again, but Kaepernick might need a few possessions to get settled during the biggest game of his young career. Matt Ryan and the Falcons’ offense, on the other hand, will not need any time to settle in and will be looking for a quick score to open the game. Prediction: Take the Falcons.

First score of the game will be
Touchdown: -160
Any other score: +140

This wager could go either way, but taking the ‘field goal’ as the first score gives you such a great price. The only trouble on this bet would be that Jim Harbaugh is a maniac and could easily pass up a short field goal for the chance at scoring a touchdown instead. Prediction: This one is a toss up, but the ‘field goal’ wager has such great odds.

Will the game be decided by exactly three points
Yes: +350
No: -500

If you are a gambler, then you will already know that the most common margin of victory in the NFL is three points. This is a matchup that will probably be close the whole way, and even has a good shot at going into overtime, so taking the ‘Yes’ on the game being decided by three points is a no brainer—especially with the fantastic odds of +350. Prediction: Take the Yes and pray for a close game.
