I know many of you have been waiting for this for a long time, so here you go.
This is the official 756* ball. This picture was sent by the Hall Of Fame to Dan Patrick's radio show this afternoon.
I'm not exactly sure how the Hall will display this thing, but my guess would be it won't show the asterisk.
Obviously, this ball means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. To some it represents poetic justice, to others it's the desecration of a piece of history - however tainted that history may be.
I'll just leave it at that, and let the asterisk slowly hypnotize you into buying crappy Ecko clothes.

I heard that the hall refused to accept the ball becuase Ecko would only loan it to them and not give it to them. Is that true?

trust me it's the real thing. The Hall Of Fame has no reason to send out doctored pics. Plus Ecko gave the ball to the Hall on Tuesday.

The photo sent by the Hall of Fame looks like it was created in "PhotoShop"....

A hundred years from now, that photo will still be iconic when the story is told of Major League Baseball and the "steroid era".

Wouldn't it be really funny if that wasn't the ball and it was just some baseball that Ecko had carved out the * into and the real ball is in some drawer at his house?
