Mandatory Credit: Scott Rovak-USA TODAY SportsThe Los Angeles Dodgers are trying to hang on to Hanley Ramirez, and are discussing a contract extension.

Hanley himself confirmed the negotiations while in the Dominican Republic, but it won't be imminent. He said:

"I can't talk about years or money, but we're negotiating and there could be something this winter."

Ramirez is going to get $16 million next year, and said that he wants to finish out his career with the Dodgers, however, he is still injured from last season. That's likely why they are waiting to get serious about their negotiations.

However, the organization has shown that they have deep pockets, and if the Dodgers want a guy, they will be sure to get him!
