About Me:
A long time sports fanatic of NASCAR, NFL, NBA, MLB. I received a gift that became a dynamic force in my life. It still penetrates to the very core of who I am. It renews and strengthens me in spite of any obstacles, suffering, difficulties, trials or inconveniences and helps me overcome pain, disappointment & frustration. None of us are exempt from these things, they are part of our lives and are often beyond our control. We do not completely understand His ways. But He takes even our worst circumstances and brings good from them. Our only hope is to believe He is trustworthy. With faith you can find peace, joy and contentment even if your situation never changes. This gift is more than just a feeling. It takes me to a special place, beyond what I would ever imagine it could. The only thing I can do to repay this gift is make myself available to fulfill His purpose for me.

A Happy Independence Day to all.
by Racin4Jesus

I recall this day 3 years ago. I was in Iraq. I had only recently returned from my R&R leave. It was the beginning of Shalam (the windy season) when I left and I returned to still more blowing sand and dust. This lasted about 3 more weeks. There was a second sand storm that literally turned day into night in the matter of minutes. The temps ranged in the hundred teens to hundred thirty. The enemy continued to be very active in our AOR. The #s of fallen "angels" was on the rise and one of our injured got a visit by President Bush at Walter Reed.

However you choose to celebrate freedom on our nation's birthday: parades, cookouts, fireworks watching parties etc...please take a moment to remember the fallen angels, they are heroes, and pray for those serving and fighting the war on terror around the globe to protect the freedoms we will be celeebrating.

Freedom isn't free.

I remember that day also...I spent it alone and in fear that you would not come home. I thank God that you did, but feel such sympathy for those that didn't and their families.

God Bless you and all of our military and their families, as they make a sacrifice too.

As we've talked about before my friend from one vet to a current warrior, THANK YOU. My whole family and friends honor our vets, present and past every 4th. The active military now serving makes me stand up and salute with pride and much appreciation. If I was close enough to see ya in person, I'd give you a heart felt brotherly hug and a pat on the back for a job well done.
