Recently, there has been a rather serious problem going around.
This problem lies within prideful Christians, and how they seem to think that they are better than others (non-believers), just because they are Christians. The affect of this problem is that non-believers are starting to think of us as hypocrites and etc. There is a few simple ways to fix this problem, of course I, being a Christian, know how to do just that. First of all, why do we even care what those non-Christians think? They shouldn’t matter to us at all! We need to be completely close-minded towards whatever they say, because we all know we are right, and they are horribly wrong. Second of all, we need to keep in our minds that these people that are calling us out, are sinful beings. They sin left and right, and have no morals what so ever! As Christians, we are perfect and holy, and we wouldn’t want to get our hands dirty with such things. Third of all, I think we should stop caring for those pagans at all. Why show love to someone that’s less important than you? As Christians, we obviously don’t believe in things like that. Lastly, we should make religion and life one huge contest, and the winners, of course, will be us. We will be because we are the most spiritual, and we will be going to heaven! Not like those non-believers. I strongly believe as soon as we start to live like this, those non-believers would be more skeptical of our religion, and they wouldn’t want to even try to become a Christian. They would try to shun us out, much like we are shunning them! A third benefit is that there would be less unity between the right and important people (Christians), and the wrong and unimportant people (non-Christians). This plan cannot fail.
All of you Christians don’t get me wrong. I am not saying at all that we should try to be more open-minded towards non-believers. Of course not! Then those pagans would start to respect us and possibly be more open-minded to us as well! Second of all, don’t think that I am saying that we should also consider that we sin. It’s quite obvious that we are perfect, and holy. It would be wrong of us to connect ourselves with sin. So thank goodness we don’t sin ever. Thirdly, please don’t think that I am saying we should be more loving towards these people. In the Bible, I am sure that there is no place where one loves another person that does not deserve to be loved. Lastly, and I want to be very clear. I am not suggesting that we should stop trying to be the “best Christian”. People, God loves only the best and most holy. It’s time to face the facts. So, Christians, let’s pull together, and make sure everyone knows that being a prideful Christian, is being a real Christian. Humility is not for us.

After reading this post, I believe as a Christian myself I deviate with mostly of his opinion and beliefs. I am a normal human being and I interact with people Christians, Non Christians and other religious sects everyday of my life. I say that I have many many friends like them and I have high respects for each and everyone. No matter we deviate from our beliefs we do have some common goals in life and we help one another just like anybody. I believe we are all sinners here on earth and Jesus Christ redeemed us when he died on the cross. As a Christian I do and act according to my belief which is to Love God and man. I also believe that this post is his own belief and I respect him for that hence this comment. I love God and man no matter what color and I respect them just as they respect me.

Taking the position that this article is presented with the intent of exposing the hypocrisy of some elements of the Christian community, I would like to bring forth another issue--the 'castigation' of good Christians (those who live true to their beliefs) attributed to the backlash resulting from the adverse rhetorical perspectives and actions of those who cast their faith in an ill light. I think it's obvious I am not Christian; most people have very 'colourful' reactions, perspectives, and judgments of my beliefs. I used to argue the various theological and psycho-social results of history and of our current society lumping all Christians in the same 'corral'. I did so, until receiving an e-mail from an individual (a Christian) who "woke me up" as to the stereotypical associations I was using in my addressing the issue. The message was from an individual much younger than I; s/he was very humble with regard to the adversities I was pointing out in the general forum, and also identifying how I too was guilty of associating the Christian faith and all Christians into singular classifications.
I spent a great amount of thought about that exchange, and (such as now) still do. It is for this reason that I endeavor to ensure I speak as to an individual nature of the conversation as each individual is responsible for their own actions, and I especially do not wish to classify those Christians with whom I do respect and call friends to be included in any adversity or animosity created by others who only seek to create such. It's the reason why I apply such a high degree of focus towards the essence of addressing individuals (or defining groups by their actions and not in a generic manner), and (boorishly to those who listen to my own rhetoric) with the consideration of mutual respect between good peoples of the many different aspects that define who we / they are in life.

The irony of the above are the numerous contradictions between the sentiments of what is written to the Bible this individual supposedly holds in such high regard. I would recommend reading further.
I hold many Christians in very high regard for living (through their actions) according to the tenants of their faith. I have many friends with whom mutual respect is exchanged regardless of the differences in our beliefs. You can call yourself whatever you desire. However, based upon my own studies, your perspectives are far from Christian.
