Arsenal
Amaury Bischoff has revealed he left Arsenal because manager Arsene Wenger could not guarantee him first-team football. The Gunners confirmed on Tuesday that the midfielder's contract at the club had expired. Bischoff moved to the Emirates Stadium last summer from Werder Bremen, with Wenger conceding the deal was a "gamble". The 22-year-old failed to start a match for Arsenal and is now seeking a new side for next season. "(Wenger) could not guarantee me playing time next season. So we decided together that it was best that I did not extend (the contract)," Bischoff said.
Aston Villa
Aston Villa have dismissed speculation that they are set to make a move for Wigan Athletic central defender Titus Bramble. Villa were reported to be lining up a move for the former Newcastle United player in a £3.5m deal plus promising midfielder Barry Bannan. But Villa sources stress Bramble is not on manager Martin O'Neill's radar. O'Neill is desperate to bring in a new central defender following the retirement of captainr Martin Laursen. But it is understood there are no imminent signings about to happen at Villa.

Alex McLeish has praised his board for backing him unequivocally in the transfer market over the summer: "We've certainly shown a bit of ambition with the money splashed out on the young centre-halves. With (Christian) Benitez coming in as well, for what was decent money, I couldn't say I've not been given support by the board - that would be ridiculous."
Blackburn Rovers
Blackburn Rovers are likely to take their search for a striker overseas after struggling to pin down any realistic targets closer to home. Having sold Roque Santa Cruz to Manchester City for a fee in the region of £17m and Matt Derbyshire to Olympiakos for £3m, manager Sam Allardyce is keen to reinforce his forward line. The squad returned to pre-season training on Wednesday and the Rovers manager would like to recruit a recognised goalscorer as soon as possible but that may take longer than expected. Allardyce has been linked with a move for Real Madrid striker Ruud van Nistelrooy, 33, as the former Manchester United forward has slipped down the pecking order at the Bernabeu. "We have been looking around for a proven Premier League striker but it is proving a difficult task," said chairman John Williams. "We may need to look abroad and go down that route."

Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce has given up on his pursuit of Bolton Wanderers forward Kevin Davies. Allardyce admits Blackburn made an enquiry to sign the striker as they seek reinforcements following the departures of Roque Santa Cruz and Matt Deryshire last week. But he will now look elsewhere for a new striker after admitting Rovers chairman John Williams contacted Bolton about Davies, but without success. "John told me on Thursday that Kevin Davies is not available," said Allardyce. "As far as I'm concerned that is it."
burnley
Hamilton Accademicals have confirmed Burnley's interest in teenage midfielder James McCarthy. Accies manager Billy Reid said he rebuffed an enquiry from Clarets manager Owen Coyle about the 18-year-old, but the Barclays Premier League newcomers may test his resolve with an improved offer. Reid said: "I don't deny Burnley have made enquiries about James, but it's not right for us at the minute. We know how important an asset he is to us. There has always been interest in James, it's the nature of the game, and we keep him informed at all times. I expect to see him at the start of pre-season training next week."
Chelsea
Carlo Ancelotti has revealed Paolo Maldini turned down an offer to become part of his coaching staff at Chelsea. Ancelotti joined the London club from AC Milan last month and had hoped Maldini would follow him to Stamford Bridge after hanging up his boots at the end of the season. Ancelotti said: "I made that proposal to him. But he wanted to take time off and after so many years playing, it's understandable. But if I could have taken anyone to Chelsea, it would have been Maldini."
Everton
Defender Phil Jagielka is looking forward to the return of his team-mates to pre-season training next week. The 26-year-old had an operation in April on a ruptured knee ligament and admits that although his rehabilitation is on track he is getting frustrated. He said: "Everything is on schedule. It's a long process which is starting to get to me a little bit but I've got to keep smiling. The rest of the boys will be back in soon enough and they will have some stories and a bit of banter to keep me going for another month or two. When everyone is back I'm sure the days will go a lot quicker. I'm still looking at November. I go to see the specialist in four weeks and he will give me an idea how it is all doing."
Fulham
Fulham have confirmed defender Moritz Volz has left the club at the end of his contract. The 26-year-old German, who had a spell with Arsenal and Wimbledon before heading to Craven Cottage in 2004, made 146 appearances for Fulham. Volz scored what was the 15,000th Barclays Premier League goal in a match against Chelsea during December 2006, and spent a spell on loan at Ipswich Town in the 2008/2009 campaign. As manager Roy Hodgson continues his preparations for next season, which will also include a Europa League campaign, Dutch striker Collins John has also left after failing to break into the first-team on a regular basis. Meanwhile, Danish midfielder Leon Andreasen, who joined Fulham during the 2008 January transfer window, has joined Hannover 96 on a permanent deal following a loan spell.
Hull City
Sheffield Wednesday have handed former Hull City midfielder Ryan France a trial with a view to offering a permanent deal. France 28, won promotion three times during his time at the KC Stadium after being signed by former Tigers manager Peter Taylor from Alfreton Town in 2003. Wednesday manager Brian Laws said: "Ryan is a hard working player who has played in each of the four professional divisions of English football and he is also a Sheffield lad, so I'm very pleased to be able to see how he performs on trial this week. If he impresses then we may be in a position to offer him a deal at Hillsborough. It's an important week with the players returning to training, so we'll have a clearer picture of what could be at our disposal in the coming days."
Liverpool
Nottingham Forest have signed Paul Anderson from Liverpool on a three-year contract in a deal worth £250,000. The 20-year-old winger, who spent last season on loan at the City Ground, becomes the Reds' third signing this week following the acquisitions of David McGoldrick from Southampton on Monday and Dele Adebola from Bristol City earlier on Tuesday. Anderson made 28 appearances for Forest last season after missing the early part of the campaign through injury. He scored two league goals and impressed with his speedy performances and ability to operate on either flank.

Manchester City have confirmed four senior stars have left the club. Danny Mills, Darius Vassell, Dietmar Hamann and Michael Ball were not offered new contracts by manager Mark Hughes and are now free to take up other offers. In none of the instances is the news a surprise. Mills has not been part of the first-team scene for well over 12 months, while Vassell and Hamann's final year at Eastlands has been blighted by injury. And, while Ball was a regular under Hughes for the first part of last term, the former Everton star lost his place following the arrival of Wayne Bridge from Chelsea. They join Chelsea-bound Daniel Sturridge in heading for the exit door, along with Glauber Berti, who was a frequent member of the substitutes' bench but did not actually come on until the final match of the season against Bolton.
Manchester United
Cristiano Ronaldo has been given a final farewell from Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson. With a world record £80m fee banked by United and Ronaldo ready for a public unveiling at Real Madrid next week, Ferguson could only wish the Portuguese star well as he launches the new phase of his career. Ferguson said: "Cristiano has been a marvellous player for Manchester United. His six years at Old Trafford have seen him develop into the best footballer in the world. His contribution has been a major factor in the club's success in that time and his talent, his ability to entertain and his infectious personality have enthralled fans the world over. Everyone here wishes him well in his future career."
Portsmouth
Bristol City have completed the signing of Portsmouth teenager Andre Blackman. The 18-year-old, who has signed a two-year contract, can play at full-back or on the wing and has targeted a swift breakthrough into manager Gary Johnson's first team. Blackman, currently recovering from an ankle injury, told the club's official website: "This is a very big move for me. I've not played a first-team game yet and for the gaffer to sign me and give me the chance to show what I can do is great. I want to express myself and show that I can be ready for first-team football. It's a big move in general. I'm working every day with the medical team and the aim is to be fit near the end of July."

Chairman Peter Coates has dismissed speculation linking the club with a bid for Newcastle striker Obafemi Martins. The Potters have been linked with a number of strikers, West Ham's Dean Ashton being the main one, but Coates said Martins was not on their list. He said: "There's nothing in that one. We haven't had contact or discussions about him at all. I don't know where the story has come from, but there is no substance to it." Stoke have also been linked with a bid for West Ham defender James Collins and although Coates admitted an enquiry had been made - about the same time they asked about Ashton - talks had gone no further. He added: "I think Tony Pulis has had talks with West Ham about this and that, but nothing concrete. There's nothing happening at the moment with regard to that player and there probably won't be."
sunderland
Former Northern Ireland international Alan Fettis has joined Sunderland's Academy staff. The 38-year-old is the club's new Academy goalkeeping coach after joining the Black Cats from Cheltenham Town, where he worked with the first-team keepers and was also chief scout. Fettis played for Hull, West Bromwich Albion, Nottingham Forest, Blackburn and York City and made 25 appearances for his country. He told the club's official website: "I'm very excited. It's a wonderful place to work - you get that just from driving through the gates and seeing the facilities and meeting the staff. The youth team did really well last year and so did the reserves, and with the first-team staying in the Premier League, it just feels like a fabulous place to be at the moment. It's exciting times for the club."

Sears will spend the season on loan with the Eagles after making 22 appearances in the Barclays Premier League last season for the Hammers. Warnock told the club's official website: "Even after he had agreed to join us he received another couple of decent offers from other clubs. But he stayed true to his word."
Wigan Athletic
Amr Zaki wants to return to Wigan Athletic and is hoping Roberto Martinez will offer him a permanent move to the club. The Egyptian striker enjoyed a blistering start to his loan spell with the Latics last season before his form petered out in the second half of the campaign and he returned to his club El Zamalek. "I really wanted to stay with Latics and and I still do," Zaki said. "I hear Martinez is a very talented coach who is still young and close to the players' age, which will help him get the best out of them. But this depends on the Latics board, who should make an official offer for El Zamalek to sign me. Without a doubt, Wigan was a great experience for me, and I enjoyed every second of the time I spent with Latics in the Premier League."

Gleeson, who spent time on loan at stadium:mk last season, told the club's official website: "I'd planned to come back here if I got the chance and it's great that the two clubs have got the deal finalised.
