Tensions are now higher between the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres than ever before, after Zack Greinke had his collarbone broken by Carlos Quentin.
Greinke will be out for eight weeks, while Quentin will be out for eight games with a suspension.
However, catcher AJ Ellis wants Dodgers fans to be civil with the Padres fans at Chavez Ravine on Monday night. He tweeted:
. @dodgers fans: What's done is done....please respect the Padre fans at Dodger Stadium tomorrow and do what you do best! Cheer US on!— AJ Ellis (@AJEllis17) April 15, 2013
I'm the first one to chase a Dodger Dog with a Bud Light and boisterously cheer on my team. In light of it being Jackie Robinson day, though, and the enormous tragedy in Boston, it's safe to say that fans will probably be more docile than normal. Still a good reminder nonetheless from a man who saw the action first hand.
