Dodgers fans everywhere will be happy to know that their catcher, A.J. Ellis is going to be ready to play in time for spring training.
Ellis had a quick 30 minute surgery on Friday to clean up some tears on his medial and lateral meniscus on his left knee.
He'll start physical therapy next week and will resume his normal workouts in six weeks.
At least that's one player who the Dodgers can count on the be healthy once the serious training begins.
It is interesting that it took this long to get him in to see a doctor though. He wasn't a huge part of their offense last season, boasting a .270 average, but since catcher is a crucial part of the game, they want him up and healthy for every game.
