Mandatory Credit: Steve Mitchell-US PRESSWIREGame 4 of the ALCS has been postponed to Thursday due to rain. Only problem is that as of 9:15 there was only a light drizzle. The forecast in Detroit calls for Thunderstorms after 10pm, but as we all know meteorologists are about as accurate as Dwight Howard at the free throw line.

MLB didn't want pitchers to start the game and then have to stop, with the risk of losing each starter within the first few innings. However, based on how inept the Yankees offense has been this postseason, and with CC Sabathia on the mound, the game could've been in the 7th inning by the time it really started raining.

This game being postponed now eliminates the chance of CC Sabathia starting game 7 as was previously scheduled.

While MLB was cautious and opted to postpone this game, fans in the building and people watching at home have to be furious that a game was postponed when it was barely raining.

I wonder how many phone numbers A-Rod bagged during the rain delay.

I can see CC going on 2 days rest in a Game 7, if that were to happen. Though it won't because the Yankees bats won't wake up.

Forgot to mention that there's a 70% chance of rain for Thursday. Good luck MLB. As of 10:19 it's finally raining in Detroit.
