Round 4 of the 2008 Chase for the Sprint Cup is at Talladega. On Saturday in qualifying, Carl Edwards led all Chasers with the fastest time out of anyone in the top 12, and he's starting 12th. That's right, the first 11 drivers to take the green flag for the AMP Energy 500 are non-Chase drivers.
The next in line is Jeff Burton who will move up a spot in the inside lane from 17th to 15th thanks to Dale Jr. having to start the race at the back of the field. Kevin Harvick will be starting back in 39th 37th (again moving up because of Junior). Needless to say, it wasn't a good qualifying day for the Chasers, who will all start smack dab in the eye of the storm if you will.
This could be the best chance a non-Chaser has to pull off the upset. Will anyone score their first career win? Can the Chasers avoid trouble, or will the big one take out at least half of our top 12? There's only one way to find out the answer to those questions and more on NASCAR'S Wild Card Weekend.
