Adrian Beltre's name has come up in some trade rumors lately, and last night, he showed why, with 2 home runs and 4 RBI in a 7-5 Mariners win over the Rangers.Although the Yankees' acquisition of Xavier Nady has somewhat tempered trade talks concerning Beltre. But one could only guess that he wouldn't mind heading somewhere where he could play well into October. We'll keep you posted on any trades and rumors that might fly around, as the trade deadline approaches quickly.
There were a couple of rookie heroes for the Twins in their 7-0 shutout win over the White Sox. Denard Span hit his first career HR, and Kyle Slowey pitched his 2nd shutout in a month. Slowey pitched all 9 innings, gave up only 6 hits, and struck out 5, shutting the White Sox down to receive his 5th win in his past 6 decisions.
Adam Jones hit a grand slam for the Orioles against the Yankees, and the Orioles crushed the Yanks, 13-4. This game was a blowout from the beginning, as the Orioles roughed up starter Mike Mussina for 6 runs in only 5 innings. Jones had 5 RBI, and Kevin Millar and Aubrey Huff each added 3 of their own, while Jeremy Guthrie pitched 6+ solid innings for the win. But what I don't understand is... why are Jones' eyes closed in his ESPN player profile picture? A question for the ages, no doubt about it.----- Other MLB Scores -----

Jorge Posada's season is officially over.
Not that it matters, but not a lot of people like the Angels, apparently.
