Mandatory Credit: Kim Klement-US PRESSWIREAdrian Gonzalez isn't exactly known for being an egotistical big talker. In fact, if anything, some Red Sox fans would love for him to be a little more vocal, both with his teammates and the media.

Gonzalez, who only has 2 HR so far in 147 AB, has guaranteed that he'll hit one tonight.

"I'll start hitting home runs. I'll hit a homer tomorrow."

This actually isn't the first time he's done this, and he made good on his prediction last season.

As a Red Sox fan, I love to see this kind of confidence from Gonzalez. He needs to step up and be a leader, both in the clubhouse and on the field, and so far he hasn't really shown a lot of that.

That having been said, if I were Matt Moore, the Rays' starting pitcher, you can be sure that I'd be throwing at Adrian's head all night.

But perhaps Gonzo made that calculated risk, since Moore has already given up 6 HR this season.

Can he actually pull it off? We'll see. But now that he's thrown it out there, nothing less than a HR would be acceptable for Gonzalez.

Oh no, is there some kid dying in the hospital? Wait a minute, did Kramer put him up to this?
