Adrian Peterson had a sports hernia for the last few weeks of the season... and STILL put up crazy numbers

Just to review, that means Peterson put up 596 yards on 105 carries in 4 games, 3 of which were on the road, and 3 of which were against playoff teams... with a sports hernia. And that's after coming off an ACL injury last year, and recovering faster than anyone could have imagined.

I hate to go overboard praising Peterson, particularly after talking about PEDs in baseball, but what this guy did in 2012 was truly incredible.

Some people are whispering here and there about potential PED use on Peterson's part, but the more we know, the more it almost doesn't even matter.

I'm sure there are NFL players who are on some sort of questionable drugs, and Ray Lewis certainly isn't the only one. I'm sure there are guys who take a pharmacy worth of substances just to be able to get out of bed and play on a weekly basis.

That having been said... Peterson's numbers, along with his injuries, are mind numbing, even if he's on performance enhancing drugs.

The more I hear about this guy, the more impressed I am.

Also, I grow increasingly skeptical. Unless he's superhuman, he shouldn't be physically able to do the things he does.

But at this point... does it even matter? Even if he's dirty, and I'm not saying that I know he is, these numbers are just straight up ridiculous. Especially with a sports hernia over the past few weeks of the season.
