"After further review it was determined this play was not reviewable," Stricherz said.
Huh? It always cracks me up when they say that. It's like saying after you climbed the mountain that the mountain is not climbable, or saying after you floated the rapids, that the rapids are not floatable.
"The third quarter did feature a priceless moment when referee Jay Stricherz unwittingly left his field microphone on. That allowed the assembled crowed to hear him discuss with his fellow officials and Mike Riley a controversial call where Ducks quarterback Jeremiah Masoli appeared to fumble but the play had been ruled dead.
The Beavers thought they had a recovery for a touchdown but the whistle had been blown. Still, Riley talked the officials into reviewing the play.
'After further review it was determined this play was not reviewable,' Stricherz said."

Adding to the confusion was the fact that both announcers of the game on television agreed that it was a fumble, but neither announcer was taking into consideration that forward progress had been stopped. So, being the Oregon Duck fanatic that I am, I'm screaming "FORWARD PROGRESS!" at TV for five minutes, hoping the announcers could somehow hear me and come to their senses.
So, in closing, let me just say that after further review, it has been determined that this article is not writable.
