Al Horford May Have Ended T.J. Ford's Career

That's just my own speculation. I don't know how many more hits T.J. Ford can take with his neck and spinal problems. Sam Mitchell's reaction after the game also may have signaled something more severe.

Ford was taken off on stretcher following this foul on Al Horford and subsequent hard fall to the floor. Horford has no history of foul play, but you have to question how badly he missed the ball and hit Ford's face. Not really that brutal of a strike, but one that apparently injured the Raptors guard before he even hit the ground.

We'll see what the prognosis is, but Ford is likely to take many more hard hits if he returns. It's too bad. I've always loved watching him play and thought he'd end up one of the best point guards in the NBA. Let's hope he's well.

0	(Edited by kantwistaye) When T.J. was drafted by Milwaukee, doctors warned of his spinal cord condition and how it was gradually getting smaller. He's also missed a complete year in Milwaukee after a much nastier hit than this. Its unfortunate, T.J. is a likeable guy, and fun player to watch.

I have to think Milwaukee took that into consideration when trading him. That hit really wasn't all that bad. Most would have been able to brace their landing.
