Alabama Football: D.J. Fluker tweets about taking money in college

Was D.J. Fluker hacked, or did he really take money from Alabama?

Former Alabama OT DJ Fluker is entering the NFL Draft, and is projected by many (including our own Matthew Shovlin) to be taken in the top half of the first round.

The tweet above has since been deleted and his account was deactivated. His agent says he'll reactivate it after the NFL Draft.

According to his agent, he was hacked. The folks over at the Dan Patrick Show looked at the previous 6 months of Fluker's tweets, and they believe he was hacked, because he doesn't have a history of misspelling "what" like he supposedly did in that tweet.

It wouldn't be out of the question that a rival SEC fan could have hacked his account and posted this tweet in an attempt to point the NCAA's investigators towards the Crimson Tide.

If that's what happened, then I feel a little bad for Fluker, who has to be a little embarrassed by this. But still, shrewd move by whoever did this. Unless it was Fluker. If that's the case, he's an idiot.

Yes, he took the money. Selena Roberts has been throwing false allegations out there about Auburn, but the fact is nobody has a deeper pocket than Alabama. Fluker wasn't the only, or isn't the only player there getting paid. I think they've been players for years - I hate Alabama though, so take it for what it is. WDE!

I'd be willing to bet that pretty much everybody is doing it. Not that that makes it okay, necessarily, but I kind of feel like if I'm a fan of any college team, it's hypocritical for me to judge any other college team for paying players behind closed doors because chances are really good that my team is doing it too. (I'm not saying you're doing that, I just see it all over.)

More people are saying that he has also never used "da" instead of "the," and his previous tweets were only bible verses. So that would seem to support the hacker theory.

That having been said... the phrase "cast the first stone" is taken from the bible.

See, now that one makes more sense.

I'm not saying it was or it wasn't - who knows. I would just like to point out to the Dan Patrick show that sometimes twitter's 140 character limit makes us spell things in ways we wouldn't otherwise spell them. I've spelled "though" "tho" when short on characters before and that's not something I have a history of doing...as well as leaving out apostrophes etc. So, if they're going to try and disprove that he did this they should try to do it differently.
