Well, here's one way for Nick Saban to free up all those extra scholarships he promised his incoming class of recruits. Former running back turned linebacker turned dumbass, Jimmy Johns, has been arrested and charged with five counts of distribution of cocaine and one count of possession of ecstasy pills, felony charges. That'll be an impressive stat line in jail, but even by Saban's standards, that won't be tolerated on the college football field.
The senior linebacker was immediately kicked off the team when these reports surfaced Tuesday morning.
“Jimmy Johns has been dismissed from the team. This type of behavior obviously will not be tolerated and he is no longer a part of our program. I’ve said enough is enough and we’re trying to fix it.I'm not sure if it's enough just yet, there are a few more freshman who would like their free ride. I was upset when I learned that Saban had intentionally offered six extra scholarships during the winter recruiting period, but I guess when you run programs like he does, and offseason arrests are the norm, it all makes good sense.
