The Alabama Crimson Tide beat Georgia today in a 32-28 thriller, winning the SEC Championship and securing a trip to the BCS title game against top-ranked Notre Dame.T.J. Yeldon and Eddie Lacy rushed for a combined 334 yards on 45 carries, and that helped Alabama stay within striking distance the entire game.
The key play, however, was a 45-yard TD pass from A.J. McCarron to Amari Cooper with 3:15 left in the game. That gave Alabama the lead, and their defense was able to stop Georgia inside the 10-yard line as time expired, giving Alabama the win.
Alabama, whose only loss this year was to Texas A&M, will play undefeated Notre Dame for the BCS Championship.
Alabama was ranked #1 from the beginning of the year, but their title hopes looked to be in peril after the loss to A&M. After back-to-back wins against Western Carolina and Auburn, both by a score of 49-0, they ended up back in title contention heading into the SEC Championship, ranked #2 after losses by Kansas State and Oregon.
Georgia was ranked #3, so the winner of this game was guaranteed a chance to play in the BCS Championship game.
Congratulations to Alabama, who has a chance for a 3rd championship in 4 years, and a 7th straight championship for the SEC conference as a whole.
Good luck to Notre Dame, who definitely has their hands full against this loaded Alabama team.

You essentially wrote an extended recap with little insight on the game within the game. I'm not saying you're a bad writer, but you just give me the bare minimum as a reader. A blog should be more opinion based. Trust me, so many are guilty of that on this site. If I want to read a recap I will go to espn or yahoo. No offense, just tell me things I wouldn't get in the play-by-play.

Alabama actually grabbed the lead early 4th and then reclaimed it with the 45-yd TD pass. I don't know what you mean by striking distance, when they led at the half, and after Georgia went up 21-10, Bama went up 25-21 in less than 7 minutes of game action.
