Is A-Rod getting a bad rap for his Game 1 antics?
The alleged flirting occurred after A-Rod was already out of the game, replaced by Raul Ibanez, who was one of the biggest reasons the Yankees even had a chance in that game.
Rodriguez was taken out of the game in the 8th inning, but the game wasn't over until the 12th. Between then, he was seen flirting with some ladies in the nearby stands, and had a ball boy give them a baseball with a note written on it, asking for their phone numbers.
New York sports radio hosts are all over A-Rod for this, acting as if it's the worst possible thing that anyone could ever do. But is it?
Rodriguez was out of the game at that point, and there really wasn't anything he could do to help his team.
What do you think? Was A-Rod wrong to try to lay on the charm mid-game? Or is this just another case of the media overhyping it, just because it's A-Rod?
