Anaheim Ducks looking to dominate Edmonton Oilers
In the last 4 seasons the Ducks have made it to the playoffs 3 times. Still, the icing on the cake would be to make it to the post-season with excellent ratings and what would be better than to be the Division Champions?
The San Jose Sharks are trailing the Ducks by 1 point. The Sharks will have the day off on Sunday but on Saturday they lost their match against the Nashville Predators. The Sharks have 3 more games to go for the season to end and the Ducks have 5 more to play. That means they have a good chance to make it as the Division Champions.
The last time Ducks had their a 3 game winning streak come to an end was two weeks ago against the Nashville Predators, the same team that defeated the Sharks last yesterday.
Anaheim head coach Bruce Boudreau said that they could not afford losses right now as everything was going in the right direction. He added that the team was capable but was having difficulty in maintaining dominance throughout the match and often lost it at the end.
"We can't let this happen. We have to find a way," said Boudreau. "Sometimes, for one reason or another, we're not getting the job done early. We're a really good team with the lead, but we just haven't had the lead lately."
The Ducks have faced the Oilers before and have dominated, for the most part. Focus throughout the game should give them the victory again today.
