After Andray Blatche found out the Washington Wizards lost their 12th straight game, he had some choice words for the organization that let him go. After hearing that the Wizards remained winless, Blatche rhetorically asked reporters in the Brooklyn locker room, "Anybody seen how the Wizards are doing?
Blatche, however, did not stop there. On his twitter account, Blatche wrote:
"I wonder if its my fault still lol.”
“Feels good to be part of a winning organization.”
Blatche also went on 106.7 The Fan this morning and told listeners that, "For them to say, ‘Oh, he’s a bad teammate. He’s a cancer in the locker room.’ All that is a bunch of lies."
The Wizards organization have taken the high road and not responded to any of Blatche’s comments. But the fact that Blatche has immaturely attacked the Wizards organization after the $30 million contract that they gave him; shows that they probably made the right move by letting him go. While they may be paying the price in the short term, the Wizards may reap the benefits in the long term. There is no doubt that Blatche is a very skilled and talented player, but he was never the franchise player that the Wizards thought that he was going to be. Once John Wall (knee) and Nene Hilario (plantar fasciitis) come back fully healthy, the Wizards will eventually win some games. But until then, Blatche is going to stick it to them for as long as he can.
