Andre Iguodala Pops Hamstring
Add Andre Iguodala’s name to the string of injuries that occurred in the NBA Friday evening. Already without franchise point guard, Stephen Curry, the multi-purpose Iguodala was crucial to jump starting the offense for the Golden State Warriors who featured a line-up without a traditional point guard.
Unfortunately, their new catalyst for their dynamic offense went down yesterday in the 3rd quarter after feeling a pop in his left hamstring.
“This worries me a little bit,” Iguodala said. “That’s what I felt, so that’s why I was so concerned. I knew it was something. Normally I can just run it off or it’ll go away. But once I heard it pop, I knew it was serious.”
Iguodala will be getting a MRI on Saturday to find out how bad the injury is, but hamstring injuries typically take a few weeks to recover from. And judging by the fact that Iguodala cannot even walk right now, it sounds like this one will take the maximum amount of time to recover from.
