At this point in his career, even Andrew Bogut is referring to himself as injury prone. Bogut has already missed 43 games this season as he was rehabbing from his mircofracture surgery on his ankle.
However, the Australian big man is now suffering from a back injury that will leave him out of the Warriors lineup indefinitely. Bogut has had a history of back injuries dating back to 2008 when he had a stress fracture on his lower back. Warriors head coach, Mark Jackson, said that Bogut would be getting a MRI on Friday and that the results would come out shortly thereafter.
Bogut was averaging 7 ppg and 6 rpg in just a little over 20 mpg this season.
The silver lining is that the Warriors have been playing well even without Bogut. The Warriors are seeded to make the playoffs for the first time in a very long time. If - and this is a big if - if Bogut is able to contribute even 20 mpg during the playoffs, the Warriors have the potential to be a surprise team in the playoffs.
