According to Chris Mortensen and Adam Schefter, Andy Reid and the Chiefs have agreed on a deal that would make him the next head coach in Kansas City.Reid spent the last 14 years coaching the Philadelphia Eagles, and racked up a 130-93-1 record. He led the Eagles to the NFC Championship game 4 years in a row, including 1 Super Bowl appearance.
Reid took the Eagles to the playoffs 9 times, and had a 10-9 record in the playoffs.
He was fired by the Eagles on Monday, at the end of an abysmal 4-12 season.
The Chiefs also fired their head coach Romeo Crennel on Monday, creating this vacancy for Reid.
What do you think? Is this a good move by the Chiefs? Or will Reid be unsuccessful in KC?

Who would you draft with the #1 pick?

Upgrade to Crennel, but Reid is nothing more than an average coach. Drafts lousy, refuses to run the ball (even when he had guys like Westbrook and McCoy) and comes up short in the biggest games (1-4 in NFC title games, 0-1 in SB), he simply can't or won't adjust to the opposing coaches strategy. Wouldn't be surprised if he trades down from the #1 pick.

With the exception the Matt Cassel debacle, I think Pioli has done a good job bringing in talent. A lot more than the mess of a roster Reid and company has assembled in Philly the last several years.
As a Broncos fan, I'd prefer if Pioli did go and Reid got to control personnel decisions

Mixed feelings as a Chiefs fan. I think it is a better move if Pioli goes, which I think he will.

If Reid gets his way and brings his former GM Tom Heckert with him, I'd say Scott Pioli's days as GM for the Chiefs are numbered

If they do sign him, there will be at least one real NFL head coach in the AFC then. Will have to see who the Chargers decide to go with.

I think it's a good move for the Chiefs, but I'm curious to see the dynamic between Reid and Pioli
